Shawn Stitt
Founder & Lead Caregiver
Animals have been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been lucky enough to care for pets of all kinds — dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and even reptiles. At home, I share life with Zelda, my four‑year‑old golden retriever, and Little Girl, my nine‑year‑old rescue cat. They inspire me daily and remind me how much joy and comfort our pets bring.
I hold a GoodPup Dog Training Certification with a focus on positive reinforcement and leash manners. My approach centers on creating safe, happy routines for every pet — from enriching walks and quiet companionship to patient guidance for pets with special needs.
Beyond hands‑on care, I earned a Bachelor’s in English and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Maryland, College Park — strengthening my commitment to wellness and safety, while ensuring clear, reliable communication with every family I serve.

Growing up with cats, she’s formed deep connections with animals of all kinds — from her own beloved pets and rescues to a stray she might meet on the street. To Leigh, every animal deserves care, comfort, and love, no matter the circumstances.
With over 20 years of hands‑on experience caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, geckos, turtles, fish — and even a rehabilitated ladybug — Leigh is comfortable with creatures of every shape and size. Gifted in connecting with shy, senior, and special‑needs pets, Leigh meets each animal where they feel most at ease — whether they’re a lap lover or a quiet observer. With more than five years of experience administering subcutaneous fluids and oral medications, she confidently supports pets with unique health needs, providing peace of mind for families.
